Letter to the Editor

No urge to torch religious attackers

To the editor:

I have seen Christ, the apostles, the pope, the church, bishops, priests and others associated with my religion vilified in print, mocked in cartoons and otherwise attacked, but not once have I felt the urge to torch my community, murder those responsible for such attacks or spend my time causing pain and destruction to all who stand before me. Maybe I am not a true believer. Perhaps the real test of my convictions would be the random taking of a couple hundred lives.
