Rudesills are married 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff F. Rudesill of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 20, 2006.
Rudesill and Mary Kathryn "Ki" Litzelfelner were married Jan. 20, 1946, at Centenary United Methodist Church.
He was a flight instructor at Cape Girardeau Air Corps Flight School in 1943, before joining the Air Transport Command. He served in the China-Burma-India Theater in 1944 and 1945, returning to Cape Girardeau in 1946.
The couple then lived in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa, returning to Cape Girardeau in 1970 and buying an interest in Riverside Lumber Companies. He became president of Riverside Home Centers with stores in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Sikeston, Ironton and Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
Mrs. Rudesill formerly worked in advertising for a local department store, and was in charge of advertising for all Riverside stores. They retired in 1984.
They have a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Brian Bohr, and three grandchildren of Naperville, Ill.; and a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Charryl Rudesill, and a granddaughter of Cape Girardeau.
