United Way distributes 2005 campaign contributions

Last week the United Way of Southeast Missouri Board of Directors approved the following initial allocations of funds:

* American Red Cross Emergency Services, $80,000.00

* A.P.P.L.E. Paperwork Service Paperwork Service, $17,000.00

* Big Brothers/Big Sisters Mentoring, $15,000.00

* Bollinger County Schools Fund Emergency Services, $3,847.00

* Boy Scouts Scouting, $40,000.00

* Boys and Girls Club Youth Programs, $33,000.00

* Cancer Patient Care Southeast Missouri Hospital, $9,043.00

* Saint Francis Medical Center, $9,043.00

* Cape Co. 4-H Camp Program, $4,000.00

* Cape Public School Children's Fund Emergency Services,

$12,775.00

* Cape Senior Center Nutrition Program, $15,600.00

* CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Juvenile Child Advocacy,

$17,000.00

* First Call For Help Info & Referral Network, $23,100.00

* Girl Scouts of Otahki Council Alternative Membership, $25,000.00

* Contemporary Issues, $22,000.00

* Habitat For Humanity Single Family Homes, $20,000.00

* Hoover Eldercare Center Eldercare, $10,000.00

* Jackson Ministerial Alliance Emergency Voucher Assistance, $4,000.00

* Jackson Senior Center Nutrition Program, $12,500.00

* Jackson R-2 Children's Fund Emergency Services, $12,790.00

* Lutheran Family & Children's Services Child Welfare, $17,500.00

* Older Adult Counseling, $5,000.00

* Perry Co. Task Force Youth Mentoring, $5,000.00

* Volunteer Services RSVP, $10,000.00

* Volunteer Center, $15,000.00

* SADI (SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence) Consumer Assistance, $14,500.00

* Safe House for Women Hot line/Client Srv/Advocacy, $8,000.00

* Counseling, $10,000.00

* Education/Child Advocacy, $10,000.00

* Salvation Army General Assistance, $60,500.00

* Day Camp, $4,500.00

* Scott City Public School Children's Fund Emergency Services,

$3,370.00

* Scott City Nutrition Center Nutrition Program, $3,000.00

* Scott City Ministerial Alliance Emergency Services, $3,000.00

* SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence Counseling, $17,500.00

* Success By 6 Early Care & Education, $17,000.00

* Assistance to Low-Income Families, $3,000.00

* Teen Challenge Outreach Ministries, $10,000.00

The United Way of Southeast Missouri also maintains an Emergency Set Aside Fund, which has recently been used to aid Hurricane victims living in the area.
