Melvin Gilbert

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Melvin Edward Gilbert, 78, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.

He was born April 28,1927, in El Reno, Okla., son of James and Mary Mattchet Gilbert.

Gilbert was a chemical engineer with Ramco several years.

Survivors include two sons, Norman Gilbert of O'Fallon, Mo., Chris Gilbert of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Herbert Gilbert of Newton, Kan., Jimmy Gilbert of Bethany, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in El Reno.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
