Freddie Joe Riley, 64, of Scott City died Friday, June 27, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of James Amphlis and Jeanette Mae Bles Riley Jr. He and Betty Yvonne Diamond were married Oct. 22, 1962, in Cape Girardeau.
Riley was a barge loader at West Lake Quarry with Local 282 of Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Knights of Columbus Council 1120 in Cape Girardeau, VFW Post 6407 in Scott City and the National Rifle Association.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Blair Brown of Kelso, Mo., Brian Brown of Scott City, Pete Riley of Scott City, Danny Riley of Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Brenda Brown of Jackson; a brother, Stan Riley of Jackson; two sisters, Lavonna Lenand of Rockview, Mo., Karen Robert of Scott City; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
