Grace Bible Church was the setting Oct. 22, 2005, for the wedding of Alisha Renee Walther and James Michael Curtis. Fred Burgard performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Fred Burgard and the bride.

Richard and Carolyn Walther of Fruitland are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Freda and Dennis Savat of McClure, Ill., and Clyde Curtis of Morley, Mo.

Maid of honor was Brandi Huffman of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Ginger Hanselman of Chaffee, Mo., cousin of the bride; Amy Kasten-Yates of Pocahontas, Jamie Drury of Cape Girardeau, and Candi Hargrove of Chaffee.

Doug Nordin of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Curtis of Advance, Mo., brother of the groom; Steve Fowler, brother-in-law of the groom, and Grayson Glueck of Chaffee; and Danny Boese of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Travis, Ryan and Jason Walther of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Brandi Huffman and Doug Nordin.

Flower girl was Darian Huffman, daughter of Brandi Huffman and godchild of the bride. Ringbearer was Trenton Curtis, son of the groom.

Marlena Hale attended the guest book.

The reception was held at Deerfield Lodge. Servers were Sue Wilde and Tina Colyott.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner.

Mrs. Curtis is a graduate of Jackson High School. She is a self-employed cosmetologist.

The groom is a graduate of Chaffee High School. He is employed at Duncan Painting and Wallcovering.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
