Letter to the Editor

Letter writers will fault Bush no matter what

To the editor:

Recent letters from Robert Polack, Paul Zmolek and Alan Journet make it apparent that the Southeast Missouri Coalition for Bush Bashing is alive and well. Judging by their letters before and after the Iraq war and during the Bush presidency, it's clear their agenda is purely political. Their latest complaint is that no weapons of mass destruction have been discovered.

Suppose warehouses full of chemical and biological weapons were found. They would still find fault and look for something wrong no matter how minute. They appear to be bitter, angry, staunch anti-Bush partisans who will oppose the president on anything he says or does.

I respect their right to dissent and their right to oppose and question the president and his policies. Thank God we live in a country where we may freely exercise that right. But I have the right to question the motives of the dissenters and the right to support the president.

Journet asked why more people aren't angry about the Iraq war. From what I've seen, I am thankful for President Bush.
