Come to the party!

After a year of special centennial editions, weekly centennial features, numerous special centennial events and dozens of civic-club presentations of a commemorative centennial video, the celebration of the Southeast Missourian's centennial is about to come to an end.

And the best is yet to come.

Today's newspaper has two special sections full of information about the centennial and about the block party that will be held on Broadway and Lorimier Street outside the Southeast Missourian building. You are invited. You will find plenty of fun-filled ways to spend the day. So plan to come.

In addition to the entertainment and other party events, you'll get to see the splendid restoration of the Southeast Missourian building exterior. More work is going on inside the building too, but that will take a few more months to complete.
