Use closed bases for storm victims

To the editor:

A solution for all the homeless from Hurricane Katrina could be to use the military bases that will be closed in the near future as home for the victims. These bases already are equipped with water, electricity, gas, streets, traffic lights and sewage systems. This could all be put to good use, and new communities could exist in the near future for all those affected by one of the most destructive storms in the history of our nation. This is something for our government to consider.
