ANNA, Ill. -- Florence Miller, 87, of Anna died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at City Care Center in Cobden, Ill.
She was born July 17, 1918, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of James and Stella Simpson Ice. She and Gerald Miller were married April 8, 1939. He died Dec. 19, 1999.
Miller retired as a claims processor with Illinois Department of Labor. She had also worked at Caterpillar, a girls school in Park Ridge, Ill., Bell Telephone, and Lane Bryant in Evergreen Park, Ill. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Anna.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Miller of Nashotah, Wis., Dan Miller of Murphysboro, Ill.; a daughter, Rena Marzen of Chicago; two sisters, Martha Nehring of Murphysboro, Audrey Hood of Van Cleave, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. L.C. Pruehsner officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
