He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Anniston, Mo., son of Benjamin Franklin and Emma Pollock Chambers. He and Lucille Maxine Newman Chambers were married April 20, 1946.
Chambers owned and operated Chambers Electric many years. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robin and Timothy Chambers of Sikeston; a daughter, Linda Hartzog of Sikeston; three brothers, Bill Chambers of Charleston, Mo., Charles and Shirley Chambers of Anniston; a sister, Margie Ahlfield of Anniston; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
