Vacation Bible school set at local churches

n Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson will hold a vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 25 to 29. For more information, call 225-5458

* Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson will hold a vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 25 to 29. Children ages four to 13 are eligible. For more information or to register, call 204-0459 or 579-5558.

* New Life Gospel Center in Scott City will hold a "Brave Believers" vacation Bible school from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. July 25 to 29 for children ages two to 12. For more information, call 264-4254.

* Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church will hold it's vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 to 5. There will also be an adult class taught by Janet Hopkins. To register, call 334-3080.

Lynwood holds events for all ages

Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will hold the Bill Gothard Basic Seminar, Advanced Seminar and Children's Institute from July 30 to Aug. 4. The times are 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 335-8173.

Red Star Baptist Church will begin vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday.
