Gina Kurre Rogers, a 1980 Jackson High School graduate who now lives in St. Louis, appeared in the May edition of Alive magazine, featured as one of St. Louis' fittest moms. Six other mothers were also selected mothers.
Rogers relied on training for a triathlon as a means of losing weight after pregnancy. Now she stays fit by running, keeping up with her Pilates exercise and spinning regimen and chasing after twin 5-year-old boys.
Rogers, currently a freelance TV journalist, said she'd had her fill of her career as TV news anchor and at age 37 chose to become a mother.
She believes that discipline is the key to managing time.
"Learning to say no is important or you get overwhelmed and lose quality time for you and your family," she said.
