Sedgewickville picnic in June to benefit park

Sedgewickville School classmates, spouses, teachers and friends will hold a picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church Park, at Route K and WW in Sedgewickville. Barbecue and drinks can be purchased; bring side dishes. Proceeds will benefit Sedgewickville Community Park. Those interested should bring photos or mementos.

Salvation Army serving meals this week

The Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope, Cape Girardeau, will serve Meals With Friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today through Friday. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a hot, nutritious meal in a cool, friendly atmosphere at no cost.

Menus are:

Today: Taco or taco salad, tortilla chips, refried beans, cake or pie.

Tuesday: Shepherd's pie, sliced peaches, bread and butter, cake or pie.

Wednesday: Chicken tenders, french fries, applesauce, rolls and butter, cake or pie.

Thursday: Baked ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans, bread and butter, cake or pie.

Friday: Hot dog or Polish sausage on bun, potato chips, baked beans, coleslaw, cake or pie.
