  • Name: Ken Lipps

    Lives in: Cape Girardeau

Family: Wife Jennifer and four grown children.

Job: Director of volunteer services, public relations, fund raising at Missouri Veterans Home, Cape Girardeau.

What do you like most about the area? Four distinct seasons of the year. Population small enough to have many rural values such as concern for neighbors and yet large enough to support a variety of entertainment and cultural venues.

    Favorite food: Groceries!

Favorite TV show: "Frasier" and "Hack" and "The Andy Griffith Show" reruns.

Best advice: Take care of your body. Start a regular cardiovascular exercise and moderate muscle building/limberness program. Everything you do, mental and physical, is easier if you are in good physical condition. You will better understand this advice when you hit age 60.

What would you do if you won the lottery? Share with family and some friends with special needs. Try to keep the winning a secret as an aid to not letting the money change my life for the worse.

Pet peeve: People long on talk and short on action.
