Story sets record straight regarding VFW good deeds

To the editor;

In response to the article "VFW Post 3838 upholds the values they fought for": I want to say thank you to Chris Pagano for the very nice article regarding the VFW. This article tells it like it really is at the VFW, whose members are not just a bunch of guys bellying up to the bar drinking beer and telling war stories. VFW Post 3838 does a lot of volunteer work and donates money. The community should stop by and attend functions that the post sponsors and see what good the post does do. One should not be too harsh when one has never attended a function. All the members at Post 3838 want to thank Chris Pagano for setting the record straight.
