St. Louis man injured in accident

A St. Louis man was seriously injured in an accident Sunday afternoon north of Marble Hill, Mo.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Steven Medvik, 57, of St. Louis was injured when his truck ran off the right side of the road, crossed the highway and struck a truck driven by April Sample, 33, of Perryville, Mo., and ran off the road before overturning.

Medvik was taken by helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the highway patrol.

Sample was not injured.

The accident happened at 4:20 p.m. Sunday on Highway 51 north of Marble Hill.
