My Daddy's Cheesecake has expanded with a second location at La Croix Village along Route W. The owner is Wes Kinsey.

Corner Cafe has opened at 119 Themis in the former Grace Cafe building. The owner is Roger Shoulders.

Mac's Smokehouse has opened a second location in the mini-mall at 525 N. Silver Springs Road. The owner is David McAllister.

China Town, a Chinese buffet restaurant, has opened in the former Western Sizzlin' building on South Kingshighway.

Don Miles, Ph.D., the owner of Caring Touch Center, has relocated his office to the Conscious Healing Institute facility at 106 Farrar Drive, Suite 101, in Cape Girardeau. Miles is a a certified nutritional consultant, certified natural health professional and reiki master.


Fred's Discount Store is scheduled to open in part of the old Wal-Mart building in early May. The developer is Jim Maevers.

Farmington Skate Park has opened at 404 Ste. Genevieve Ave., at the former location of the city swimming pool.

Clearwater Floor Covering Center is being built on Highway HH, about one mile south of Piedmont. The owners are Floyd Young and Johnny Waller. The showroom will be completed in March.

Airbrush Alley has opened a kiosk in Illinois Centre Mall. The owner is Zetta Cockrum.
