Jackson and Oran baseball teams won't play today; ND, Perryville, Jackson soccer still on

The Jackson baseball teams' district title game against Hillsboro has been moved from today to Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Jackson City Park.

The Oran vs. Bernie district title game at Leopold has been moved from today to Friday at 4 p.m. However, host Leopold said if the weather does not clear up soon, then the game might not be played Friday either. So nothing is definite yet.

The Notre Dame vs. Perryville district soccer game is still on. It will be played at Farmington High School this evening at 5 p.m.

Jackson's district title soccer game at Hillsboro is still on at Hillsboro High School this evening at 6 p.m.

I was at Notre Dame on Tuesday, watching the Bulldogs win their Class 3 District 1 semifinal over Perryville to advance to today’s (Wednesday’s) 6:30 p.m. championship game against Dexter.

Ronnie Cookson told me today that Kenyon Wright was recently named his new assistant basketball coach at Scott County Central. And Wright will likely be Cookson's successor whenever Cookson decides to retire.
