Cairo bridge to close for inspection The U.S. 60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois, will be closed as crews perform an annual safety inspection. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, the closures are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday and extend through noon Friday. They will continue at 8 a.m. April 2 and end at noon April 6. The bridge will be open to all traffic from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily...
