Over 120 girls enjoyed Girl Scout Day Camp at Camp Sacajawea this year. They learned many outdoor skills from archery to knife safety. The property committee is considering the sale of this property. We will need the community to help us develop sustainable long-term viable plans for supporting Girl Scouting including retaining and maintain the property...

WE NEED TO SAVE CAMP SACAJAWEA!!!!! The camp is just a few miles outside of Cape Girardeau and is an amazing resource for so many outdoor programs for the girls. The Girl Scout of Missouri Heartland has voted to allow local communities additional time to work with the council to develop sustainable long-term viable plans for supporting Girl Scouting including retaining and maintaining all other Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland program properties that were recommended for divestment. ...

Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle advises the County Commission he wants to prepare a "10 Most Wanted List" that would be distributed to law enforcement agencies in the hopes of clearing up some outstanding warrants.
