The Early Childhood Organization of Southeast MO State University hosted a Family Literacy Night for Kindergarten students and their families at Jefferson Elementary School on Nov. 5. The theme of the night was "Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Children and their families enjoyed a variety of activities relating to the Eric Carle classic book, such as creating butterflies, moving like caterpillars, playing with caterpillar puppets and bean bag toss caterpillar games, hearing stories, and making a caterpillar mural in the gym. ...
