CARDWELL, Mo. Three people were arrested Thursday, suspected of running a methamphetamine lab at a Cardwell residence. Construction continued Friday morning on what will eventually be Southeast Missouri State University's School of Polytechnic Studies. The $8.8 million project is scheduled for completion around the spring of 2001. Black Forest Villages will hold its 10th annual Octoberfest today from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The event will offer traditional craft demonstrations, bluegrass music, pony rides and food.
