To the editor: The the person who commented in Speak Out that lights on the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge would be a waste of money: Are you just looking at today? What about the future? Do you not expect ever to have growth in the area? It's sad when people only look on the dull side of life. We who do cross the bridge, even occasionally, would enjoy the beauty. We need more beauty on this great earth that God created...

Peter Kinder that would allow Cape Girardeau and Bollinger county voters to decide if a recreational lake should be built.
