GAMBLING MEASURES ARE ONLY REVENUE GIMMICKS
(Editorial ~ 10/30/92)
Riverboat gambling tempts Missourians with the promise of big rewards for small outlays. But a dubious record elsewhere suggests that riverboat gambling is more of a bonanza for developers than host cities or states. The potential for increased crime and compulsive gambling further muddy the waters...

Dear Editor: The proponents of planning and zoning have written a beautiful preamble to their book, extolling the virtues of planning and zoning. THE PUBLIC MIND: CHRISTIANS HAVE CLEAR CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT
(Letter to the Editor ~ 10/30/92)
An open letter to all Christians: God's Word tells us in John 8:32 that "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." As the election nears, we need to know the truth so that we can vote in a righteous way that "we may be free." This country was founded on Christian principles - founded to set the church free from government control. Now, in 1992, because of fear of economics, some Christians are willing to turn their country over to those who oppose Biblical truths...

THE PUBLIC MIND: ROSS PEROT IS THE CANDIDATE FOR CHANGE
(Letter to the Editor ~ 10/30/92)
Dear Editor: Obvious to most Americans is the fact that we need a "change" in our government. In the last presidential debate, Governor Clinton said "If I had it to do over again, I honestly do not know rather or not I would go to Vietnam because I was against the war." He continued ~by saying "I would not have trouble sending men to war if the need should arise if I am president.". ...
