ORAN -- Toney Pobst, 88, of Oran, died Friday, Aug. 9, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 23, 1902 in Oran, to Michael and Louisa Menz Pobst. On Nov. 18, 1924, he married Lorene Heisserer. She survives, along with two sons, A.J. Pobst of Chaffee, and Glenn Pobst of Oran; one brother, Harold Pobst, and one sister, Viola Hahn, both of Oran; along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren...

CHARLESTON -- Donald Morton Humphreys, 57, of Charleston died Saturday, Aug. 10, at his home. He was born March 12, 1934 in Scott City to Herman and Ada Burns Humphreys. On Aug. 20, 1967, he married Betty Sue Russell. She survives. He lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was employed by Babb Farms until ill health forced his retirement...
