Residents tried to pick up the pieces from the tornado that struck near St. Mary.

Volunteers helped separate anything that was left from the home of Don Valleroy, an 84-year-old man, and his son.

Robert Grogg held onto Don Valleroy's dog that had survived the total destruction of their home behind them.

The remnants of a clothesline stands over one of the homes destroyed by Saturday's tornado.

Insulation from destroyed homes looked like it was spray painted on a nearby fence.

Ed Kemper of SDT marked the location of the phone lines in Perry County near St. Mary. The phone lines are one of the major lines from St. Louis to Memphis.

Electrical crews had their hands full as they worked to restore electricity.

A child's bike remained on the ground near one of the homes that was completely destroyed.
