Soldier's story ends happily on old pedestalSeptember 5, 2003
A falling tree limb destroyed the original cast iron Civil War soldier statue at Common Pleas Courthouse in Cape Girardeau. Now a new, durable version is standing sentry, thanks to Dexter artist Alan Gibson. The installation was made on Sept. 5, 2003.
