Visitors to the SEMO District Fair got a "Wild West Experience" Saturday as "outlaw" Roger Dittmar, of North Liberty, Ind., tried to robbed the stagecoach, but the driver, Dennis Schleis, of Manitowoc, Wis., thwarted the attempt.

Dortha Strack spoke with Paige Kain, 9, of Cape Girardeau during the Poultry/Rabbit Dress-Up show Saturday. Her rabbit was dressed as Miss SEMO Fair and won first place in the prettiest category as well as overall champion for the rabbits.

Kassidy Hawkins of Cape Girardeau won second place in the Nursery Rhyme category in the Poultry/Rabbit Dress-Up show with her chicken dressed as Winnie the Pooh.
