Col. Roger Stottlemyre, left, superintendent of the Missouri Highway Patrol, accepted from Sarah Froemsdorf the service revolver used by her late husband, Trooper James M. Froemsdorf, who was fatally shot with the weapon by Jerome Mallett while on duty March 2, 1985. It will be displayed in the highway patrol's museum.

The audience sat outside the Perry County Courthouse in Perryville, Mo. for the dedication of the Trooper James Froemsdorf Memorial Highway Thursday, Aug. 29.
