When a number of students in the Hawthorn School district here left home every weekday morning, the first "school-related" face they likely saw was that of Frieda Whiteside, a bus driver for 10 years. Whiteside said she enjoyed driving a bus, and considered each youngster special. Here, she watched and wished each a good day, as they got off the bus at Hawthorn.
