The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's took place Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Cape Girardeau County Park North in Cape Girardeau. According to the Alzheimer’s Association website, a blue flower stands for a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia; a purple flower represents a person who has lost someone to the disease; a yellow flower stands for a person who is supporting or caring for a person with Alzheimer’s; and orange is for “everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.”
