Two people in Bollinger County go boating down Highway 51 Thursday afternoon.

J. T. Culbertson inspects his home in Puxico, Mo. Culbertson and his wife, Modean, have owned their property since 1938. He said their phone lines are still working, though they have no drinking water. Culbertson was able to get his pickup truck to a safe distance where he can get in and out with supplies.

Darlene Jensen of Advance, Mo., watches the traffic on State Highway C from the front porch of her home. Highway C is now open, though the road is partly covered by water in Advance. Jensen's phone line is out, and she and her husband are without running water in their home. She said her brother has been able to bring supplies to them.
