Jefferson School celebrates Positive Referrals

Jefferson Elementary School recognized students "caught being good" with an "Oscars-style" ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 in Cape Girardeau. The school reached 1,000 positive referrals for the first time this year.

Jefferson Elementary School assistant principal Zech Payne presents third-grader Rayne Oseland with the top award Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 in the school's positive referral program. An "Oscar-style" ceremony was planned after the school reached 1,000 positive referrals for good behavior by students for the first time. The top students "caught being good" in each grade level were recognized, with Oseland receiving 17 referrals this year.
