People stand on the dock to watch as 2000 pounds of rainbow trout are added to Rotary Lake at Jackson City Park on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. The Missouri Department of Conservation trucked the trout from a hatchery at Montauk State Park. The City of Jackson has been stocking Rotary Lake with trout since 2003 for anglers to catch and release over the cooler months. The conservation department employees delivering the trout had to get the trout accustomed to the warmer than usual lake water before adding them to the lake. They drained the water they were delivered in and added lake water to the tank to get them accustomed to the temperature.
