Workers open the north leg of U.S. 61 after a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at the new roundabout at East Main Street and Hope Street in Jackson. The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission awarded a $2,007,816 contract to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc. for the improvement project that began in May. The city of Jackson and MoDOT split the cost equally.
