The old Hanover Lutheran School was opened to the public for tours Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Cape Girardeau.

The old Hanover Lutheran School is situated next to the old Hanover Lutheran Church.

The one-room schoolhouse was built in 1924.

A ball toss game, circa 1918, was made by a member of the congregation for use at the annual congregation picnic held in July, under the hickory trees in "Hanover's Park." Hollow rubber balls were used with the object to spin the doll completely around for a prize, usually a trinket from the ten cent store.
