  • He wants to make one last effort to completely bury us in debt.

  • The president went to Illinois to give them pointers on how to solve their lack of a budget.

One of those...we all should try to get along deals.

So OK republicans, give in to more of what got you there and call it compromise, raise taxes, run up the debt some more, get elected again. It's so simple.

  • Old John,

It blows my mind, I have no idea what he needs that much for, votes don't cost that much to get his boys in there so the next President can't undo some of the damage he has done.

And the cost of living has not gone up making government's cost of doing business more. If you don't believe me ask any S.S. recipient.

Is he planning on spending extra money and the remaining months of his term touring with the PGA, using Air Force One for his transportation or what is the problem?

  • Seems Bernie and Hillary may have an allegiance of Forward that is more important than who wins.

I'm sure uncle Karl is proud of them both.

  • Just in case someone is reading and not attuned to the real world and sarcasm understood by those that have followed these threads, let me clarify.

Anyone familiar with history in the most basic way should know a few things.

Our country was founded as a Christian nation and all this separation of church and state was aimed at central government not giving one Christian denomination respect over another. If there was a reason there within to do so, that was the business of the states. George Mason made that clear.

Anyone familiar with history should know our country is not a democracy. A democracy is four wolves and one sheep voting on what's for dinner. Seems we have allowed such reasoning when it comes to the fruits of our labor, to the point that many accept the idea of taking from the sheep and giving to the wolves.

Anyone familiar with history should know that socialism has always failed. Our young liberal leaning college minds should farther explore Plato on the subject of human failures.

I don't see myself educated on the subject of politics. I do recognize where the Bernie Hillary road will take us.

  • Rick, I read in one of the farm magazines about the Federal Universal Service Fund and how great it was for Missouri farmers. Seems Mo is spending fed money to provide rural broadband. Just one contractor has accepted $446 million to connect cable to 160,000 homes in sparsely populated areas. There are several other companies with like numbers of spending.

I'm not that good with math but it sounds like those free phone giveaways are bargain priced at that rate.

It also goes by the Federal Connect America Fund.

  • Old John,

That appears to be 2787.50 per subscriber. I wish someone loved me enough to spend close to 3 grand on me.

That is one of Obama's pet projects I understand.... tell me again Old John, how long is it before that idiot is gone.

  • It will not be soon enough and if the dim dems prevail, little will change except for the worse.

At least the Supreme Court has put a damper on the closing of the rest of the coal plants.

  • Yes I read that regarding the coal plants. At least that is one of his executive orders in the bin before he is out of there. Then they can rid us of some more of them.

If of course the promises being made are being kept and they don't just flip a coin to let Hillary win.

I forgot to add, it is her turn you know and it wouldn't be fair if they didn't give it to her. After all the office of President appears to be an entitlement thing..... like everything else in this country.

  • Last I heard congress is on track to block any internet taxes. That doesn't rule out Obama veto. If past is any indicator, they will give Obama 98% of what he wants to get it passed or give up on it altogether.

Hmmmmm! Could government help in money management instead of letting the free market prevail be a large part of world problems.
