  • One would not need to be a rocket scientist to predict this outcome.

People are starting to become tired of being told what to do, when to do it and how to live in general.

  • The only flag relevant to the south is the white flag. The confederate flag is just a reminder the south is a loser and always has been.

-- Posted by left turn on Sun, Aug 2, 2015, at 4:25 PM
  • Yeah Lefty.... all Southerners are losers in your mind. But the fact is, you don't find many who move to the North to retire.

You are way more ignorant than anyone I have ever met in my visits to the South.

  • u can go on u tube everyday and see videos of people getting their butts kicked for riding around and displaying the conf flag. Those are the kinds if ignorant people who want the racism to continue. Seems stupid to get your butt kicked over a flag, but so be it!

Caddy. Walk into the veterans home and proudly announce that.

I suppose that to be a threat from you that should I decide to fly the Confederate Flag that I should protect myself to keep you and your punks from trying to beat me up or worse. Do I have that correct?

I have never flown the Confederate Flag ever but I will if you try telling me I cannot. I do not tell you how to wear your cap, I do not tell you not to wear your trousers with the "crack of dawn" showing and you do not tell me what I can safely do or not do!

  • Here is some PC jokes....everyone is fair game.

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

SARAH PALIN: The chicken crossed the road because, gosh-darn it, he's a maverick!

BARACK OBAMA: Let me be perfectly clear, if the chickens like their eggs they can keep their eggs. No chicken will be required to cross the road to surrender her eggs. Period.

JOHN McCAIN: My friends, the chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON: What difference at this point does it make why the chicken crossed the road?

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either with us or against us. There is no middle ground here.

    DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken.

AL GORE: I invented the chicken.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white?

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he is acting by not taking on his current problems before adding any new problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross the road so badly. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a NEW CAR so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

ANDERSON COOPER: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way the chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heartwarming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2014, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2014. This new platform is much more stable and will never reboot.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

semo471: The chicken crossed the road so it could get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Rick: Wonder what the PC folks find to talk about without offending anyone with their words. The POW/MIA Flag is truly a flag of remembrance of the Vietnam War and other wars where the USA still has soldiers who are prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Rick, when I heard about this, it was some "libtard" saying it was offensive to Vietnamese-Americans. Blah,blah,blah...It's ridiculous.

-- Posted by BonScott on Mon, Aug 31, 2015, at 4:04 PM
  • The Vietnamese can get on their little boat and row their butts back to Vietnam. I doubt if many veterans want the little gooks here anyway.

    -- Posted by G. H. on Mon, Aug 31, 2015, at 7:49 PM

I suspect some veterans don't feel that way about the people they fought for.

  • "...Vietnam War and other wars where the USA still has soldiers who are prisoners of war and those missing in action."

Clearly there are still MIA's whose remains have not been recovered, but it is highly unlikely that there are still POW's in Vietnam.

    ----- ---- --- -- -

"...saying it was offensive to Vietnamese-Americans. Blah,blah,blah...It's ridiculous."

That is one time that I agree with you completely. There's no reason for the flag to be offensive to anyone.

    ----- ---- --- -- -

"One day they like Americans. The next day they like the VC."

It would seem that "Gabby" has an extremely unrealistic view of the war in Vietnam.

Perhaps you don't have the current "purified" version of what happened in Vietnam. You know.... the version written by the onlookers.

-- Posted by BonScott on Tue, Sep 1, 2015, at 9:56 AM
  • With the immediate revisionist history since the progressive movement began, it takes time to sort out what happened. Without HST's decision to end the war with Japan early and negate FDR's secret deal with Stalin, There would have been a lot more Vietnams and Korea type conflicts. Japan may have been divided like Germany and large parts of southern China and strategic isles in the Pacific would have been under Soviet control.

I still think the South Vietnamese could be trusted as much as Kennedy.

  • You can be anything you want to be on the internet.

-- Posted by scheuwlfz on Tue, Sep 1, 2015, at 10:19 AM
  • "Maybe you just think you know what you're talking about?"

Also having been there for one full tour and two other TDY's in 1972 and 1973, I could also just as easily say that maybe you don't know what you're talking about.

The fact is that the majority of the Vietnamese people just wanted to be left alone, but there are many that I knew that worked with and fought with our side. There were also many that were torn between competing loyalties.

For example, the grass roofed houses between Bien Tuy and Can Tho displayed a RVN flag on a small metal plate during the daytime, but possibly had an NVA/VC flag on the reverse side for display at night.

Like I said, thinking it was a simple matter of us or them is unrealistic and doesn't recognize the complexities of the conflict that stretches back thousands of years.

I didn't play him but Al & Peggy were favorites of mine, along with George and Wheezey and Archie and Edith. Their's was my kind of political correctness. One of my favorite shows along this line was George and Archie at the interracial wedding reception. Speaking of CRSU.... that was it.

  • Wheels, The timeline can get blurry. I was just reminded by a friend it's been 18 years since the Sunday paper announced the death of Princess Diana. You must have been being recertified to drive at an old age about that time, Bollinger county let me slide on that since the guy that taught me to drive paid a quarter for his license without any tests.

No matter what they call themselves or what we label them they still are progressive liberals with a more determined leader to divide the country and make America less.

I am so happy that I was able to explain something to you in a way that you could understand it.

I agree with BonScott those were great sitcoms.... people laughing at themselves. It is really a sad situation when people like you are so miserable and unhappy with yourself and everything and everyone around you that you want everybody to change and fall in line with your miserable thinking.

You have been judgemental towards me some 7 or 8 years now. That is your problem and why we get along so famously. Surely by now you should have learned you can not drag me down to your miserable level. I intend to continue to laugh at life which includes me and the folks around me..... black or white.
