Speak Out: Paua Deen?

Posted by We Regret To Inform U on Mon, Jun 24, 2013, at 9:07 PM:

So she called the guy that put a gun to her hear n*****? Well to bad so sad. I would have too. The backlash of the reverse racists ruined her product but with the fortune she has accumulated why would she care? The lawsuit as all are is filled with BS to sway a jury.

She was honest (unlike Obama and gang) and said it a long time ago but the gangsta ******* say kill whitey and cracker all the time with no backlash. The Democrats hung black men for fun but the PC crowd doesn't care. As I said Obama and the PC liberals will set back race relation 40 years.

Paula still has her fans.

  • I keep hearing about this but never heard with what context Ms Deen used the word. IF that was it then I'm pretty certain the guy holding the gun had called his brethren the same many times. I'd have called him much worse. Listening to Ms Deen is like hearing fingers on a chalkboard but she got screwed and somebody has a vendetta. Martha?

  • Don't listen to Paula Dean either, but to be canned from the network for that is ridiculous.

If she worked for the IRS and engineered a deal to hassle conservative groups she would have been sent on furlough at the tax payers expense, or at worst moved secretly from her job to another department to hide out.

    To hell with political correctness.

  • I just read most of the deposition text that started this. It was more than a gun to the head incident. She is being sued by a former employee for defamation. $1.2 million. I worked with a lot of Black people and heard them call each other everything but a White man and me a honky. I guess turnabout just can't happen today in this PC world.

  • You is what you is!

    FFF,

I bought a copy of that in England, before I found out they use a different format. They say you cannot buy them in this country, but I got news for em. There are people selling bootleg copies at Flea Markets from time to time. Found one there and bought it. Anytime there is something difficult to get, it gives me a challenge to prove that you can buy it, need it or not.

  • I'm sick of political correctness this is America exercise your first amendment rights called "Freedom of Speech". This lady did nothing wrong but the far left liberals are making a big deal out of it through the media Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson now that is two of a kind to be judging other people on what they say.

  • I've never understood why the word is so offensive.

The whole issue evolves (IMHO) from the fact that she is successful, has deep pockets and the country is full of low-life lawyers encouraging this type of lawsuit.

The continued fueling of class envy and race division to further the progressive agenda is clear to me.

I hope she wins and counter sues the plaintif winning all costs and punitive damages.

A news reporter asked a Southern man about racism in his town.

"Is there a Black and White issue here?"

    To which the man replied

"Nope, but we do have a Redneck and **************."

What got censured? Who's the redneck gonna sue?

  • I would rather have kept the image of Paula Deen I had before all this. That link to Michelle and Paula reminds me of when she and Jimmy Carter were on screen together. Methinks she says whatever to go along get along. I'm guessing she would fawn over any politition or celebrity the same way. I doubt she has any agenda, political of discriminatory.

I agree with Spaniard in a way. Employers have gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to government and laws concerning political correctness regarding choice in hiring and firing.

  • I hate this politically correct crap. If blacks are truly offended by the use of the "N" word... they would do something to clean up the actions of their own that use the word. I really don't see it necessary that anyone use the word, but am sick of the false show of offense when someone of a different race uses it, while not blinking an eye when their own kind does it. If it is wrong... it is wrong period, end of the discussion.

These companies who are throwing Paula Dean under the bus are cowards, and all of us who hate the politically correct crap should quit using their services. And I have never watched Paula Dean or used her products, so if she is on TV or her products are offered at Target or not, affects me not in the least.

Just mark me down as one who is sick of all of today's BS!

  • PC only flows one way. During the Zimmerman trial the Prosecutions star witness,Travon Martin's close friend,a black teen Ms Jeantel, testified while she was on the phone with Martin the night he was killed,Martin referred to Zimmerman as a "creepy cracker". The Defense attorney asked her if that name was racist and she answered no. You can be sure that if at any time someone comes forward and says they heard Zimmerman use any racist language that night or in his entire life this whole thing will be turned into a hate crime which the Feds will then prosecute. As for as Ms Deen, quit this apology tour, tell them to go ---- themselves and quit crying.

I am talking about her past books. You said and I quote: "The stores are yanking them off the shelves". Kind of hard to do that with an unprinted book.

Are the Left Wingnuts going to try book banning if nothing else works? I think they will try anything to "shout down" any opposition to their agenda.

When you have been around for a while you will recognize many left wingers who have used the "N" word within hearing distance of you in days past. I think they should take up public self flagellation to purify themselves.

Things have become so ridiculous that if I am not offended because you are not offended... there must be something wrong with me.

Down with all of the politically correct crap in America! Today, 4 July 2013 would be a fine day to start taking America back to the great country she once was and tell the whiners and do gooders to fall in line or find a place that more aptly supports their lifestyle.

Before we enjoyed clean water and clean air? Before social security, medicare and medicaid? How about a little segregation thrown in for good measure? No thanks, let's keep moving forward. Let's get more progressives in office and enjoy prosperity another 50 years.

    Look Kid,

If you are too dumb to know what I meant, you should be one to not have the right/privilege of voting would be my opinion. All of that superfluous BS you threw in was meaningless. That is not the definition of taking America back to it's Greatness. Taking it back to me, means self reliance, a smaller government, only the sick and the lame being on any kind of charity and those able bodied who will not stand on their own, may suffer the consequences, not make it my problem.

    Lefty,

You keep throwing that out there as if there is some incriminating evidence to be found that will reshape the world. If you believe there is anything relative to today's world in a 57 year old document why don't you be the first to throw out the "Red Meat" so to speak. I would really like to see if this shocker that you seem to think is in there that is of such vital importance ranks down there with some of your other "Red Meat" offerings.

I personally do not intend looking it up as I have some red meat of my own that I need to turn into "Burnt Offerings" as my late brother-in-law used to call barbecue.

  • Political correctness is a joke who started such a thing? I will speak my opinion don't like it than walk away. This is America land of the free and some have for got that in this country it is called "Freedom of Speech".

-- Posted by swampeastmissouri on Fri, Jul 5, 2013, at 7:53 AM
  • The term "politically correct" is bandied about so much as to have become meaningless. But what really does it mean? Here's a history of the term (as best I know it).

"PC" has gone through four stages of meaning. "Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.

"Politically correct" was revived (and again, used favorably) by 1960s New Left radicals who fancied themselves revolutionaries in the mold of Che, Castro, and Mao.

"Politically correct" was first used negatively by 1980s conservatives, following the publication of Allan Bloom's Closing of the American Mind. Conservatives embraced the term "politically incorrect" as a badge of honor to contrast their championing of free speech against campus leftists who used speech codes to suppress debate on sensitive topics. This was also when the term first became widely known by its acronym, "PC."

In these three previous stages, everyone agreed that PC meant Left, and "not PC" meant Right. But because liberals don't like a reputation of being anti-free speech, within a few years they did a turnabout, and called their opponents "PC" and themselves "not PC." Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect is representative of this fourth stage, creating the odd result of a self-proclaimed "not PC" show winning a very PC environmental media award.

However, despite liberals' turnabout, conservatives continued to refer to themselves too as "not PC." Thus "PC" has lost any specific meaning in this fourth stage, since everyone defines their position as the now chic "not PC," and their opponents as "PC." (A far cry from the days when Russians dreaded the Chekists who executed "not PC" people.)

Sorry,I found this but copied it before I got the guys name who wrote it.

  • Alec Baldwin has crossed a few lines, but not to the extent Deen did, in my opinion.

Some are very good at overcoming, coming back from their bad behavior. example, Martha Stewart, Alec Baldwin, Robert Downey Jr.

-- Posted by Otoe on Sat, Jul 6, 2013, at 7:41 AM
  • Bothedog,

Alex Baldwin has been given a pass over and over again, remember the verbal abuse he gave his young daughter.

Do you suppose it has anything to do with the fact that he is a flaming liberal?

Paula Deen on the other hand is just another human sacrifice to be offered up on the left wingnuts' altar.

I personally have a problem with most of the line drawing that is done. Lines should be established by the individual person for their own lifestyle. If they are of good moral character there will be no problem with "Line" crossing.... if they do not, they suffer the consequences of their own actions.

A line was established and both Alex Baldwin and Paula Deen crossed it, in Deen's case way before the line was established, she crossed it, in Baldwins's case he crosses it and continues to do so after the fact.

    Results:

Total forgiveness for Baldwin.... sacrifice Deen!

If this had not come up, I would barely know Deen's name.

  • Kinda like Obamas red line in the sand over Syria. Just keep scratching it until it gets where you want it at the appropriate time, place or person in this case.

  • i think the red line in Syria is now backed up to somewhere in France... He's such a strong, visional US leader isn't he?

Now we find out that our Secretary of State John Kerry was boating for 2 days on vacation while the events in Egypt unfolded. Unfortunately for Kerry he doesn't get the "pass" that the press gives Obama.

  • Dug, I'm surprised at your ignorance. Everybody knows John Kerry is royalty and owes it to his followers to be on a yatch. He served in Vietnam!

    :)

  • Dug & Diss = war mongers. -- Posted by left turn on Sat, Jul 6, 2013, at 10:19 AM

This war started because Obama told - TOLD - the previous leader of Egypt that he must step down.

Talk about interfering with other countries and overthrowing leaders of foreign nations. Obama did that despite the fact that he was told "You don't understand this region. You're too young". And now we have the Arab Spring protests, killings and rapes. Not to mention several civil wars at once and 10's of thousands of civilians dead from Obama's actions.

And don't forget that 2 times more Americans have been killed in Afghanistan under Obama than Bush.

As usual, left turn is driving blind... You still have a poster of Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize on your bedroom wall???

  • A few events Alec Baldwin may be disgusted by and tweet angry homophobic rants about:

Copied from The Onion. They make fun of everything!

Gay pride marches and parades will be held this weekend across the United States as LGBT Pride Month draws to a close. Here are some local gay pride celebrations throughout the country:

San Francisco: Harvey Milk bobblehead day at AT&T Park

McComb, MS: The police department will go door to door giving homosexuals a special permanent marking on their forehead so everyone can know whom to be proud of

Addison, VT: William is going to proudly walk down Route 7 from the post office to the hardware store starting at 10 a.m. if anyone wants to come cheer him on

Reno, NV: Complimentary prime rib for anyone who comes out to friends and family at Harrah's

Boise, ID: Six or seven gay guys are going fishing up at the lake; should be a nice afternoon

Nantucket, MA: This year's parade to be populated mostly by married men who are only gay while on vacation

Bemidji, MN: Due to last year's poor turnout at the local parade, organizers will bus in some extra gays from Minneapolis

Lubbock, TX: Pride Parade on Main St. at noon to be immediately followed by memorial for those lost during Pride Parade

  • If you are marketing products that more intelligent people are less likely to buy, target your advertising elsewhere, like Capital One does.

  • Let's get more progressives in office and enjoy prosperity another 50 years.

The only prosperity will be a monthly government check or download to your government card. Of coarse they will probably make it weekly since most cant manage their own financials like Biden.

Unnatural behavior is the new norm, we're supposed to get used to it.

  • I believe the fat guy doing most of the hitting is a nine time felon. He was charged with assault but no idea about a hate crime which would be totally appropriate but not likely. It all depends on who hates who these days.
