Speak Out: Vote GOP in 2010: "An Acceptable Alternative"

Posted by Lumpy on Tue, Nov 17, 2009, at 7:26 PM:

I've gone on record saying that I enjoy listening to Sean Hannity's radio show on the commute home from work. IMHO there is nothing funnier on the radio.

Anyhow, recently I have heard Hannity, Newt Gingrich, and Pat Buchanan saying that GOP candidates will resonate with voters in 2010 because they are "an acceptable alternative".

That's a slogan if I ever heard one! "Vote for me because I don't suck as bad as the other guy!"

You can't make this stuff up!

  • An acceptable alternative as opposed to an unacceptable alternative? Say what?

  • V'ger,

What would an unacceptable alternative to a Democrat look like?

  • There have been many times I had to hold my nose when I voted.

It does seem like I'm picking the lesser of two evils when I vote.

  • It might sound bad, but the "exceptable alternative" was a big factor in getting Obama elected.
