An ethics watchdog group is calling on Reps. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.) and Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) to either resign or recuse themselves from voting because of their future lobbying jobs.
I realize that Emerson has "rescued" herself from any energy specific legislation that may come up for a vote between now and her official resignation, but the practice of "logrolling" bills makes it difficult to tell what exactly is being voted on. She should resign.
