Speak Out: "2016 Obama's America" coming to Cape Girardeau

Posted by Dug on Wed, Aug 22, 2012, at 8:59 AM:

This documentary has been exploding across the country and it's coming to Cape Girardeau this weekend as it rolls out in over 1000 theaters. It is already the second highest grossing documentary as people are flocking to see it. It was sold out for a couple of days in San Francisco! Don't look for it on Yahoo - they refuse to list the movie or where it is playing.

Liberals just hate it when the public plays actual videos of the president speaking in his socialist/marxist beliefs. I will definitely be in Cape to watch it this Friday when it opens. The web site to find out where it is showing (and about the movie):

  • Common will be the guy in the front row with the loose leaf binder taking notes to run through his spin machine!

  • Lol. Is anybody paying him to spin? I wonder....

  • Forgot to mention that the producer of this movie is the same guy that produced "Shindler's List" - an academy award winner.

More evidence that even liberal hollywood is seeing Obama for what he is - a failure.

I see they've changed their minds! Maybe a little public pressure is what it takes. About time.

  • Hey Ike you want to go see the movie? I would ask Theorist but they would have to build a fence for her to set on.

  • I already read the book. It's called "1984".

  • MO,

I'll give you this much. Theorist might be caught leaning against the left side of the fence but I cannot remember any issue she was closer to right than that.

  • kcknown/caddy there you go again, the documentary is doing well right up at the top packed houses every venue it is showing in. This is not a movie it is a documentary you see and hear the true facts about your man. I know this is something you don't want to see or hear but it is the truth and we all know that is tough on liberals to accept the truth. By the way it appears the Clintons and Obama are not getting along to well with one another what's up with that kcknown? The documentary is showing in Cape kcknown you should go see it for yourself.

No Swamp.... we don't want Caddy viewing it. He might go postal on us and they would lock him up and he couldn't vote for obummer in November.... not even once.

  • "This is not a movie it is a documentary you see and hear the true facts about your man."

That's not correct, you see what the film maker wants you to think.

If you want facts, read the book on President Obama by David Maraniss.

By the way, the last box office numbers show the 2016, the fiction, with a blazing 2.37% of the $790 million ticket receipts.

  • Here are a couple of legitimate reviews...

From the Washington Post, Michael O'Sullivan described the movie as a "slick infomercial...destined to irritate the president's supporters while mobilizing his detractors, even as it is doomed to win precious few converts", while also criticizing D'Souza for "fear-mongering of the worst kind".

Bill Goodykoontz of The Arizona Republic said it was "preaching to the choir" in a style similar to Michael Moore's films, but without the humor, without the straw-man arguments and without presenting views from the other side, and is unlikely to change anyone's mind.

Joe Leydon of Variety said "the pic comes off as a cavalcade of conspiracy theories, psycho-politico conjectures and incendiary labeling" making it "highly unlikely that anyone predisposed to championing Obama would be won over", but also saying, "there's no gainsaying the value of 2016 as a sort of Cliffs Notes precis of the conservative case against the re-election of our current U.S. president."

Saw Political ad over the weekend with bill clinton endorsing and praising obama. Must've seen it a dozen times. Must not be too much animosity between them.

  • Nobody gives a crap what movie critics have to say.

-- Posted by FreedomFadingFast on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 5:30 PM
  • Common - from the huffington post:

"Andy Webster of The New York Times describes how D'Souza "argues that the president has emasculated NASA, refused to take a 'meaningful step' against Iran's nuclear ambitions and is willing to let Argentina reclaim the Falkland Islands from the British."

    and

"Slate's David Weigel reviewed it as "mostly solid," highlighting how D'Souza does not drown in conservative conspiracy theories. "The movie is really too good to get pedantic about," he wrote. "There are no conspiracy theories about Obama's birth, religion, Social Security number, passport, or college transcript. Instead, there is a deep dive into Barack Obama's known Communist associates, his late father's avowed socialism, and his mother's radicalism."

Your point? Two liberals reviewed it. You've read their comments. These are "legititmate" reviews.
