• I have read and re-read this article and still find it hard to believe. This excerpt from the text I find especially offensive.

As a result, she admitted modern activist teachers should try to learn those things sufficiently to get a job, but only for the purpose of infiltrating schools to change them from within.

  The Leftists in this country have been guilty of dumbing down America's student for some time now. And it is working. Graduates in all too many cases do not have sufficient skills to find a job that pays a living upon graduating college. That is criminal in my mind.

  And if you read this article thoroughly you will find it is intended on getting worse if they continue having their way. Misguided as they are they are slowly destroying America as a World Leader from within.

• Wheels, This reminds me of the time of Clinton's appointment of Bill Lann Lee to head the Justice Department's Civil Rights Department. Through some illegal maneuvers he made it stick. Lee sued dam near everyone over quotas concerning test grades and even forced charter schools to be compliant with federal regulations.

  I think that was the roadmap for destroying education.

  Democrats have a long history of wanting to keep minorities illiterate. This is only the result of compounded ignorance.

  That may be your opinion, but the author of your linked article seems to disagree.

  That implies that the education system is under the control of conservative right wingers trying to make every student "white."

  While that's equally untrue, it just goes to show you that you can find anything you want on the internet.

  Not in the connotation that you inferred with your normal BS. Nor does it have anything to do with Conservatism.

  This teacher is a true Leftist. A few of her words:

  “No Freedom Unless We Call Out the Wizard Behind The Curtain: Critically Addressing the Corrosive Effects of Whiteness in Teacher Education and Professional Development.”

  “Education is not about the mere reproduction of knowledge,” Hackman said. “Education is the practice of freedom. And as a result, we have to have [teaching] students becomes activists as well as teachers.”

  " … proper English must be spoken (which is just assimilation into standard U.S. dialect), hierarchical power structure, and heavy goal orientation.”

  Common, do you agree with all of those statements. All of the quotes were from Ms Hackman of Hackman Consulting Group except the one I noted.

  In years still fresh in my mind, the battle was fought for segregation, to bring the underpriviled black students of this country into the white schools so they could blend in and have increased opportunity for success. Now the battle is to tear down the white schools and make them into something less than the black students had to begin with.

  This is further destruction of our education system and anyone with a brain should be able to recognize it.

  I had great teachers and I can assure you that in the all white school, not by design, but because that is all we had out in the country, we were required to use correct English, none of the slang we may have grown up with. Most of these students from that time went out into the world and made a better life for themselves.

  I see nothing good coming from people like Ms. Hackman and her hate America and hate White People just for their color agenda.

  America should have paid more attention to Henry. You made a suggestion sometime back that people should start looking for private schools for their children. I agree.... the government schools are becoming nothing more than tools for indoctrination. Hitler's Germany coming to life again in America??

  What I see with People like this Ms Hackman is, they see Obama's term coming to an end and there is a desperation to create as much havoc as they can before someone else hopefully steps in and tries to put things back on track.

  It makes me sick to see what is happening to education in this country. We have halfwits like this Ms Hackman and her foundation trying to create "activists" instead of educators to indoctrinate our children. And to learn just enough to sneak your way into the system and become tenured so they cannot be fired.

  And big brother government presiding over local control to make sure these "activists" are hired will be a coming thing.
