In more ways than not, our area is that different from where I came from. Born and raised in Ohio, I'm familiar with life in a deeply divided political state. I know what it's like to get to see every single ad a presidential candidate puts out. I'm aware that states are not merely red or blue; instead they all tend to be varying shades of purple...
