Hello, Polar Vortex

Our dear friend the Polar Vortex is set to make another appearance next week bearing unseasonably cool weather. Of course, below average temperatures in July isn't nearly as bad as below average temperatures in January.

This weekend will be hot and humid, however, setting the stage for a battle of air masses late Sunday into Monday. That means thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center projects that we could see severe thunderstorms on Monday as a cold front arrives.
