Weather or Not
In this blog, weather junkies on the Southeast Missourian staff talk about (what else?) the weather. Give us your observations, folk wisdom and Farmers Almanac tales -- it's a weather free for all.
Update 12:30 PM: Some pretty colors on the radar
Posted Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 12:30 PM
The local radar is showing an impressive blob of heavy wintry precipitation moving toward Cape Girardeau.
The National Weather Service advises:
POCKETS OF HEAVY SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL PERSIST OR EXPAND. THROUGH 1 PM...EXPECT PRECIPITATION TO BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI. THE HEAVY FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET COULD PRODUCE RAPIDLY DETERIORATING ROAD CONDITIONS.
