Weather or Not
In this blog, weather junkies on the Southeast Missourian staff talk about (what else?) the weather. Give us your observations, folk wisdom and Farmers Almanac tales -- it's a weather free for all.
Snow back in the forecast

One of the computer models (the GFS) is hinting at a winter storm late next week. It projects a classic scenario with Gulf moisture arriving from the south and moving on top of cold air.
Another model, the ECMWF, also shows Gulf moisture arriving late next week, but it allows warm air to move in first, producing liquid rain showers and possibly thunderstorms.
So far this season, the GFS has often been too optimistic about snow chances. It's a little early to make dartboard projections for Winter Storm "Bumblebee Man", but it's never too early to go grocery shopping just in case the BREAD Index reaches panic levels again.
