Weather or Not
In this blog, weather junkies on the Southeast Missourian staff talk about (what else?) the weather. Give us your observations, folk wisdom and Farmers Almanac tales -- it's a weather free for all.
Remember the big snow that came early?

The icing that was forecast earlier in the week for Wednesday night didn't really happen. Instead we got some rain, and a few slick spots here and there on the roads this morning.
Seems like most of our real winter weather hits in January and February, anyway.
But I can remember a time a few years ago, 2002 to be exact, when we were blasted by a snow storm at the beginning of December. National Weather Service data says we were hit with 4 to 5 inches on Dec. 4 that year in Cape Girardeau alone. As any Southeast Missouri resident knows, that's a lot of snow for this area.
