  • I'm sure you know this Rick...Like most other Constitutional law, the electoral process has been hi-jacked. Until a few years ago, I didn't know that according to the Constitution, we are supposed to go to the poles and actually vote for an elector from our district, just like any other candidate, someone to represent us. The winners are then to be notified by the Governor of their place and time of meeting to cast their ballots for President. Then, he seals and certifies the ballots and the votes are carried to the seat of government: Washington D.C. Then delivered to the president of the Senate, and in the presence of both the House and Senate the envelopes are to be unsealed, opened and read and votes written down and tallied. The one with the most votes is POTUS and the one with the 2nd most votes is Vice-POTUS.

So, that way you could theoretically have 2 different party candidates in those offices. Kind of like The Governor and Lt. Governor.

Wouldn't it be interesting if we actually followed the Constitution?
